DAN RAY WISHERT-LOLITA - Dan Ray Wishert, 42 of Lolita and formerly of El Campo, passed away on Sept. 8, 2010. He was born on Oct. 25, 1967 in El Campo. He was a ranch hand for Wolf Point Ranch.He is survived by his parents, Oliver and Bernice Popp Wishert of El Campo; sisters, Becky Wishert of El Campo, Brenda Tompkins and husband Scooter of El Campo; brothers, Chris Wishert and wife Sandra of Nada, Doug Wishert and wife Kim of El Campo; nieces and nephews, Clint, Kylie Wishert, Kayla and John Novak, Linda, Marla and Jr. Tompkins, Rhys, Spencer and Tate Wishert; and great-nieces, Kenna and Kendal Novak.He was preceded in death by his sister, Lynda Kaye Wishert; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. August Popp; and paternal grandparents, Mary Wishert and Oliver G. Wishert Sr.Visitation began at 3 p.m. on Thursday, with a parish rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Triska Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 10, 2010, at St. John's Catholic Church in New Taiton with Rev. Gabriel Oduro Tawiah officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jr. Tompkins, Clint Wishert, Rhys Kennedy, Spencer Wishert, Tate Wishert, Donald Priesmeyer, Travis Clark, Dustin Popp, Philip Leopold, Brandon Crittendon, Bobby Smith, Laval Simons, and Will Evans.Honorary pallbearers will be John Wishert, Mike Daugherty, Jeff Pfiel, Kurt Yackel, Bryan Popp, Servando Chapa, Adam Pfiel, and Wolf Point Ranch employees.Memorial donations in memory of Dan Ray Wishert may be made to the St. Philip's School Library, to the American Cancer Society , or St. John's Altar Society.
